What Will I Learn?

  • By the end of the course participants will learn the specific names of various bones in the body including the skull, scapula, femur, humerus, vertebrae, and phalanges. You will explore each of these bone’s particular movements as well as the blood supply.

Material Includes

  • PowerPoint presentation by staff and med students well versed in the Musculoskeletal system. IAR workshops provide the following material, projector screen, lab top, STEM gear and note taking.


  • Members are required to enroll in the IAR afterschool program, participate and engage in classroom or remote learning activities provided by the instructors.

Target Audience

  • We serve low income under-resourced participants ages 7 to 21 from communities of color, primarily children of incarcerated parents and those impacted by the justice system.
